AMIS Madagascar develops lasting local skills in precision manufacturing. The project begins with training, then equips a teaching workshop, and later grows into a production unit when demand and orders justify it.

The Academy

A complementary, workshop-led specialisation.

The Academy is not a university intended to replace existing Malagasy institutions. It is an intensive 9-to-12-month specialisation for graduates who already have a foundation and want to enter industrial practice.

Each intake will intentionally remain limited, with candidates carefully selected for their talent, potential, motivation, and technical and practical abilities.

Skills taught

From the drawing to the inspected part, then to a connected shop floor.

The syllabus links drawing reading, machining, Swiss turning, metrology, CAD/CAM, automation and Industry 4.0. Artificial intelligence is treated as a tool applied to manufacturing, not as a separate subject.

Planned infrastructure

A real site in Antananarivo, developed in stages.

The project already has an approximately 6,000 m² site dedicated to the project and an existing building of approximately 160 m² in Antananarivo, roughly 30 minutes from Ivato International Airport. The site will sit near the future Tamatave–Antananarivo road corridor.

Fit-out can start with a workshop of about 200 m². Later, some students coming from other regions may be housed on site if conditions allow.

Workshop and production

Capacity grows only when it will be used.

AMIS Madagascar is not presented as a large factory already built. Each machine is added when there is enough training demand, need or order volume to keep it running.

Environment and energy

The workshop is designed to run first during solar production hours, with a scalable energy architecture and responsible treatment of fluids and chips.
